
Football Head Coach Willie Fritz Inducted into Central Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame

WARRENSBURG, Mo. - Tulane football coach Willie Fritz is now a Hall of Famer, being inducted into the Central Missouri Athletics Hall of Fame Saturday morning on the Warrensburg, Mo., campus.Â
Fritz was Mules' head coach for 13 seasons (1997-2009), compiling a 97-47 record. He is the winningest coach in program history by wins and is fifth all-time in winning percentage at .674. He led Central Missouri to its first ever NCAA Division II Championship appearance in 2002, a Mineral Water Bowl championship in 2001 and the 2003 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association Championship.
Joining Fritz in the 2016-17 Central Missouri Hall of Fame Class were Lanny Curnes (football, 1982-85), DeMarco Cosby (football, 2007-10), Drew Frizzell (track & field, 2008-11), Allie Huffman (volleyball, 2008-11), Lindsay Lettow (women's track & field, 2008-12), Chris Matlock (baseball, 2008-09), Alyssa Rhodes (soccer, 2008-11). 2007 soccer, 2008 baseball, 2010 golf and 2010 volleyball teams.
