Terri Sisk Resigns as Women’s Tennis Head Coach
Apr 21, 2017 | Women's Tennis
NEW ORLEANS - Tulane women's tennis head coach Terri Sisk announced today that she will not return next season.
Â
"I want to thank Coach Sisk for her leadership of our women's tennis program and for her support of all things Tulane. We wish her nothing but the best in the future," said Troy Dannen, Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair.
Â
Sisk's teams posted winning records in three of the last five years, while mentoring eight all-conference selections and leading the Green Wave to six winning seasons. In nine seasons at the helm of the program, she posted a 120-75 overall record.
Â
Additionally, Sisk's teams have been equally as impressive in the classroom. The program has consistently rated in the top 10 percent of all Division I women's tennis programs in the NCAA's Academic Progress Rates (APR). In 2014, Klara Vyskocilova, Jacqui Katz and Meredith Maltby were named ITA Scholars, while the entire squad received the ITA Team Academic Award in 2014 and 2015.
Â
Prior to her tenure at Tulane, Sisk spent the previous five seasons as the head coach at Samford where she led the Bulldogs to a pair of Ohio Valley Conference Tournament titles in 2004 and 2006, as well as one regular-season crown in 2007.
Â
A national search for the program's next head coach will begin immediately.
