2007: Appeared in two games as a true freshman before redshirting...tossed one inning against Southeastern Louisiana (2/9) and faced just one batter at UNO (3/20)...off the diamond, was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Tulane's 3.0 Club.

High School: Three-year letterman as a pitcher and outfielder at Bellaire High for coach Rocky Manuel...helped lead the Cardinals to the state playoffs all three years, including a 29-6 record as a senior...twice named first-team All-District 20-5A...as a senior, posted a 6-1 record and 2.05 ERA...struck out 65 in 44.0 innings of work as a junior to go with a 2.35 ERA and a .210 opponent batting average... teamed with Bellaire and current Tulane teammate Drew Zizinia to help Team Bellaire win the 2000 Little League National Championship...off the diamond, was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Advisory Board.

Summer Ball: Played for the Lehigh Valley Catz of the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League...saw action nine games, including three starts, going 2-2 with a 3.51 ERA, 20 strikeouts and 10 walks in 25.2 innings of work.
