Extends agreement through 2026
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University announced on Thursday that it has reached an agreement with IMG to extend its multimedia rights and licensing agreements through 2026. The deal includes additional signage and naming rights opportunities, and a mutual agreement to fund a state-of-the-art television production and new media facility.
"We are thrilled to continue working with IMG across the next decade to enhance the Tulane brand across multimedia rights and licensing, said Troy Dannen, Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair at Tulane. "As the Tulane footprint continues to grow and the college landscape keeps evolving, we feel very comfortable relying on IMG's expertise in the collegiate space."
"We are proud to extend our long-standing relationship with Tulane University," said Tim Pernetti, president of media rights, IMG College. "We look forward to working with Athletic Director Troy Dannen and his team to provide even greater solutions for Tulane Athletics as we further develop the university's multimedia rights and licensing programs and showcase IMG's expertise in television and digital content production."
The multimedia rights extension adds to an agreement that originally began in 2009. As part of the extension, IMG adds new assets including multiple signage opportunities at Yulman Stadium, home of Tulane football, and Avron B. Fogelman Arena in Devlin Fieldhouse, home of Tulane basketball.
The agreement also includes the construction of a state-of-the-art television and new media production facility that will support live television, radio, streaming and digital content for Tulane Athletics.
The agreement continues to include IMG College's exclusive representation and management of corporate partners, stadium and venue signage, rivalry series, hospitality, game promotions, radio game play-by-play and coaches' shows, television, publications, internet sales and endorsements for coaches.
Tulane's relationship with the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), the licensing division of IMG College, dates back to 1986, and is also included in the 10-year extension. Across the last 10 years, Tulane licensed products have garnered nearly $2 million in gross royalties.
