Riptide Appearance Request Form
Requests for Riptide must be submitted at least one week in advance. Submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance and is subject to availability. The appearance fee for Riptide is $100/hour for non-Tulane University affiliated groups, and $50/hour for Tulane University affiliated or non-profit groups. There is a 1-hour minimum. A $50 travel charge will be added for any events beyond a 20-mile radius from campus. Payment for the requested time must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance and any additional time beyond the initial request will be billed after the event. Cancellations must be given at least 24 hours in advance of the event in order to receive a refund. Riptide requires a secure changing room and will arrive 15 minutes prior to the event to change into costume. Outdoor events in the heat will require Riptide to take periodic water/cooling breaks during the event.
