Football Conducts Wednesday Workout at Yulman
Sep 28, 2016 | Football
NEW ORLEANS - The Louisiana sun shined down upon Tulane football for another day and another spirited practice at Yulman Stadium heading into the final preparation for Saturday's mid-day matchup at Massachusetts.
"It was a pretty good Wednesday," said head coach Willie Fritz. "We, at least, have a pretty good clue about you going to be doing (on Saturday). We got fairly close to an offensive, defensive and special teams game plan in. We didn't make as many errors and that's good. That's what you like on a Wednesday.
Tulane (2-2, 0-1 American Athletic Conference | West) and UMass (1-3) are meeting for the first time on the gridiron. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on American Sports Network and ESPN3Â from McGuirk Alumni Stadium in Amherst, Mass.
The Green Wave have won three of their last four games against first-time opponents – 34-7 win over Jackson State on August 31, 2013, 41-39 loss to South Alabama on Sept. 7, 2013, 12-3 win over UConn on Oct. 11, 2014 and 38-7 win over Maine on 38-7 on Sept. 19, 2015.
After a second-straight road game next Friday at UCF, the Olive and Blue return to their home turf on Friday, Oct. 14 against Memphis. Tickets for that game can be purchased by clicking here to purchase, calling 504-861-WAVE (9283) or visiting the Tulane Ticket Office, located on the first floor of the James W. Wilson, Jr. Center, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m.
