Spring Practice Continues for Football

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane football was back on the practice field Tuesday morning at Yulman Stadium with a two-hour workout on the Benson Field turf.
The Green Wave donned pads with shorts for the first time this spring in the team's first of three practices this week. Head coach Willie Fritz put the squad through another spirited session from the positional drills to the game-situation plays to close the day's practice.
"I thought it was a pretty good job by our guys," Fritz said. "We had a few days off and the big thing I talked to them about is just taking advantage of every one of these opportunities to get better because we only have 15 of them."
Tulane continues spring practice with its fourth and fifth morning workouts on Thursday and Friday, respectively. Practices are closed to the public. The 2017 Tulane Football Spring Game is set for Saturday, April 22 at 10 a.m.
