BARCELONA - The Tulane men's basketball team's foreign trip to Spain will be updated regularly during its 10-day venture with day-to-day reflections and photos from events and experiences in Madrid and Barcelona from Aug. 9-19. Local time in Spain is in Central European Standard Time (CEST) and is exactly seven hours ahead of New Orleans (CT).
Â
Wednesday, Aug. 16
9 a.m. (CEST) - The Green Wave gets ready for the day with breakfast at the hotel.
9:30 a.m. (CEST) - Tulane loads up the bus and heads to shootaround at Cem Parc de la Ciutadella - the same gym the Green Wave practiced in after arriving in Barcelona on Monday.
Â
10-11 a.m. (CEST) - Tulane goes through an hour-long workout to prepare for tonight's first game in the city against Barcelona Select.

11:45 a.m. (CEST) - Following the conclusion of shootaround, the Green Wave makes a short drive to Barcelona's Olympic Stadium that hosted the 1992 Summer Games to take pictures and soak in a little history on the historic venue. Many track & field events, as well as the opening ceremony were held in this very facility when the Games took place 25 years ago.

12:15 p.m. (CEST) - Coaches, staff and student-athletes beginning heading toward the next tour of the day, but stop short of the destination to capture pictures of some beautiful overlooks of Barcelona.

Â
12:45 p.m. (CEST) - The Green Wave reaches the entrance to the elevated cable car ride and climbs aboard the cars in groups of 8-10 people. The views are incredible as advertised and perhaps a few players learned they have a small fear of heights during the process.

1:30 p.m. (CEST) - The divided groups meet at the end of the cable car ride and head for a lunch break along the beach front. Drop off is approximately one mile from the team's hotel, as some groups walk the boardwalk all the way back after lunch or stop on the beach to begin a free afternoon. Others looking to get some rest ahead of tonight's game board the bus at 2:30 and return to the hotel.
