Jun 14, 2018 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS - The American Athletic Conference unveiled its men's basketball schedule matrix for the 2018-19 season on Thursday.
For Tulane, the 18-game league slate will feature home-and-home matchups against East Carolina, Memphis, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulsa and Wichita State. The Green Wave will host UCF and Houston without respective return trips, and will travel to Cincinnati and UConn for one road game apiece. For the first time in history, Wichita State will make a trip to Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
Repeat games are annually determined by television inventory and contractual requirements, competitive issues/RPI implications and geographic rivalries.
The 2019 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Championship will be held March 14-17 at FedEx Forum in Memphis. ESPN's family of networks will broadcast the first two days of action, before CBS carries both semifinals and the championship game.
Head coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr., will be entering his third season at Tulane in 2018-19. The Green Wave returns three of its top five scorers from one year ago, including junior Samir Sehic with 10.5 points per game, Ray Ona Embo (10.1) and Jordan Cornish (9.9).
The complete 2018-19 men's basketball schedule with dates, times and television designations will be announced at a later date.
