| Format: | The Allstate Sugar Bowl Collegiate Bowling Invitational comprises of a three-day schedule and lane draws determined randomly in the coaches meeting on Friday morning. The entire tournament will be scratch and based on match wins and losses. Teams compete in six, five-game Baker matches on Friday followed by six traditional matches on Saturday. The teams will then be seeded based on total pins for the bracket round on Sunday, which will be three Baker best 4-out-of-7 matches. The final team positions will be determined after the bracket round. Â In the Baker format, starting members of the competing teams shall successively and, in regular order, bowl one frame on one lane. Once five frames are completed, the team members shall remain on the same lane and complete the starting member order again, with frames six through 10 being completed. No changes shall be made in the order of players after the start of the game, except for substitutes, although once a player has been pulled from the game that player is not allowed to return until the next game. Â In the five-person team game, starting members of the competing teams shall successively and, in regular order, bowl one frame on one lane. Once completed, the team members shall move to the alternate lane of the competition pair. This pattern of play continues until all 10 frames of a game are complete. The same substitution rules as Baker matches apply. Â |
