May 7, 2018 | Baseball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane baseball invites dogs and their owners to Bark in the Park on Saturday when the Green Wave take on Memphis at 2 p.m. at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
All dogs in attendance will receive a Green Wave bandana and a dog collar waste dispenser. The Louisiana SPCA will have a live adoption set up in the right field concourse. Representatives from the New Orleans Police Department K-9 Unit, TUSTEP, Raising Cane's, Dogtopia, Petcetera, Carrollton Veterinary Hospital and Double-M Feed will also be present at the right field concourse.
The right field bleachers have been set aside for dogs and dog owners. Ticket holders who wish to bring their dog to the park on Saturday must also sit in the right field reserved dog section. Water bowls and a relief station will be available in the right field concourse.
All dogs in attendance must be on a leash and accompanied by their owner, and dogs must show proof of vaccination and a waiver. Dog owners are asked to bring the signed waiver with them to the game, but waiver forms will be available near the ticket office in the James W. Wilson Jr. Center, next to Turchin Stadium. Care and control of a pet is the sole responsibility of the owner.
All dogs must have the following vaccinations:
• Rabies – given annually, but sometimes can be a 3 year.
• DHLP – (Distemper, Hepatitis, Leptospirosis, Para influenza) - all given annually, sometimes referred to as the Combo Vaccination, especially when it includes Parvo.
• Parvo – given annually, many times this is included in the DHLP and indicated as DHLPP.
• Bordatella – given either every six months or annually. Sometimes referred to as: Kennel Cough OR Tracheobronchitis.
