Crowley, La.
Notre Dame HS
The only returning starter and lone senior on the offensive line, Seth Zaunbrecher is expected to anchor a young group up front for the high powered Green Wave offense. A native of Crowley, La., and graduate of Notre Dame High, Zaunbrecher saw limited time in his first three seasons at Tulane as he redshirted his rookie season, did not see any action as a redshirt-freshman, and appeared in just two games as a sophomore. Last year, however, Zaunbrecher appeared in the final 11 games of the season, including 10 starts at left guard. He helped protect record-setting quarterback Patrick Ramsey and helped open holes for all-star running back Mewelde Moore who set the team record for rushing yards in a season and a game in 2001. A standout in the classroom as well, Zaunbrecher is a three-time member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, and last year, earned Verizon Academic All-District honors. An account and finance major, Zaunbrecher was a member of Tulane's prestigious 3.0 Club in the Fall of 2000 and 2001 and a Tulane Scholar-Athlete in Spring 2002.
