
Men's Basketball Adds Samir Sehic

NEW ORLEANS -- The Tulane men's basketball program and head coach Mike Dunleavy, Sr., have announced the signing of Samir Sehic, who transfers to Tulane after spending one season at Vanderbilt. Sehic will be forced to sit out during the 2016-17 season due to NCAA transfer rules, but will have three years of remaining eligibility following the season.
The 6-9, 247-pound forward hails from Cypress, Texas, and attended Cy Woods High. He saw action in 22 games this past season, contributing 26 points and 31 total rebounds. Sehic logged a total of 104 minutes during Vanderbilt's 19-14 campaign that included a return trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Sehic was a four-year letterwinner at Cy Woods, leading his team to a 35-5 record as a junior, 17.6 points, 13 rebound. He was tabbed as a four-star recruit coming out of high school, according to ESPN.com, and was also looked at by Davidson, Wake Forest, Iowa, Stanford and Notre Dame.
