Uhlmann will oversee the newly created Creative Services department, which will handle social media, creative design and creative video for Tulane Athletics. Joining Uhlmann's newly created staff will be Tim Reusche as the Director of Creative Video. Two additional new graphic designers will join the staff in August as well.
Uhlmann arrives in Uptown after spending four years as the Director of Athletic Creative Services at fellow American Athletic Conference member East Carolina. In Greenville, N.C., Uhlmann served as the primary graphic designer and oversaw the visual brand of the ECU Athletic Department. He also helped manage the department's social media accounts, which featured over 200,000 followers across all channels. His oversight saw a 103 percent rise in ECU social media engagement and a 97 percent rise in impressions in just the first year.
Prior to his work at ECU, Uhlmann worked as an Assistant Director of Strategic Communications at Appalachian State. He helped the Mountaineers increase their overall impressions by 117 percent during his time in Boone, N.C. Uhlmann graduated with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Economics from Ohio University in 2014.
Reusche joins the Olive & Blue after three years at Bradley University as the Director of Video and Creative Production. While with the Braves, he was responsible for all creative video and broadcast duties for Bradley Athletics. Reusche, a Ball State University graduate, also spent a season at UNC Greensboro serving as the Video Production Assistant.
Alvarez began his tenure with the Green Wave as the Director of Video and Broadcasting in August of 2017. He will now oversee all aspects of broadcast operations, streaming production and the ESPN+ relationship for Tulane.  Alvarez will also manage the newly construction production room and studio set to open for the Green Wave this August.
He came to Tulane after spending 11 years at WHNO-TV 20 in the Crescent City. While at WHNO, Alvarez held many positions including Director, Producer, Camera Operator and Editor. Alvarez was responsible for over 70+ sports shows and events a year. He was also instrumental in the design and build of a video production truck for the station.
Alongside his position at the New Orleans based station, Alvarez served as a freelance video professional for many organizations including the Saints, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, the World War II Museum and Pelicans.
Joining Alvarez's expanded staff will be Zach Fischer as the Assistant Director of Video and Broadcast (production) as well as Kelsey McHugh as the Assistant Director of Video and Broadcast (content). Both Fischer and McHugh will assist in ESPN+ broadcasts for the Green Wave while bolstering video and streaming content.
Fischer comes to Uptown after spending three years at VMI as the Coordinator of Athletic Multimedia where he was responsible for producing and directing all ESPN and SoCon Digital Network broadcasts. Fischer also handled creative video content for the Keydets. McHugh joins the department after spending time with Penn State Athletics, the Washington Football Team and Virginia's Keri Shull Real Estate team producing short form video content, podcasts and lifestyle videos for each organization.
