
Tulane Sailing Reveals 2022 Spring Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane sailing head coach Charles Higgins released the official spring schedule for the program's 2021-2022 season on Monday.

The Green Wave will host five regattas in New Orleans including three of the four spring 2022 ICSA National Championships. The ICSA Team Race National Championship, ICSA Dinghy National Championship, and the ICSA Women's Dinghy National Championship will highlight the home season for Tulane taking place on Lake Pontchartrain on May 16-26.

The Olive and Blue opens the spring season with its first home regatta of the year as it hosts the Nelson Roltsch Team Race Feb. 19-20. During the same weekend the Tulane women's team will compete at South Florida in the USF Women's Team Race.

The first of four busy weekends in the month of March will feature the Bob Bavier Team Race hosted by the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. and the Green Wave Women's regatta at home on March 5-6. The following weekend, March 12-13, the Wave will send teams to compete in the Navy Women's Team Race in Annapolis, Maryland, and the John Jackson Team Race at Georgetown.

Tulane returns to the northeast for the final two weekends of March racing in the Graham Hall Team Race hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy and the SMC Women's Fleet Race at St. Mary's College on March 19-20 and in the Szambecki Team Race at Old Dominion and the SMC Seahawk Women's Team Race hosted by St. Mary's College on March 26-27.

The Green Wave will be back in New Orleans to begin the month of April as it will host the Garner Tullis Team Race on April 2-3 and the SEISA Team Race Championships on April 9-10. Tulane then heads back on the road for the Navy Spring regatta on April 16-17 before wrapping up the month at the ICSA Women's Team Race Nationals Championship at Brown University and the Admiral's Cup at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy April 23-24.
