Tulane Inks Kameron Williams to 2024 Signing Class
Nov 8, 2023 | Men's Basketball
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball added in-state four-star prospect, according to ESPN, Kameron Williams from Lafayette, Louisiana, on National Signing Day.
Â
"I'm beyond excited to welcome Kam to the Tulane family," head coach Ron Hunter said. "He's the type of player that we look for in recruiting and one that I love to coach; a guy that can play multiple positions with his size and length and that can really shoot the basketball. Getting one of the best players in the state really makes a statement for us as well!"
Â
Williams is the second-ranked player in the state of Louisiana according to ESPN and 247Sports. He is also the highest-ranked player out of high school to commit to the Green Wave according to 247Sports.
Â
The Lafayette Christian Academy product is a 6-7 guard/forward with great upside as a talented scorer and versatility to play and guard multiple positions.
Â
In 2022-23 as a junior Williams led Lafayette Christian to the second round of the LHSAA State Tournament finishing with a 31-9 record. Williams averaged a double-double during his junior season averaging 25 points and 10 rebounds to go with five assists. He helped the team finish as the LHSAA District III state runner-up as a sophomore in 2021-22.
Â
Over the summer Williams landed a spot in the Nike EYBL Peach Jam competing with the "Houston Hoops" squad.
Â
Williams begins his senior season at Lafayette Christian Academy on November 28 and will join the Green Wave in Uptown next fall.
