Sep 10, 2023 | Women's Golf
CORINTH, TX -Â With a team full of five returners and one newcomer, Tulane golf opens its fall season with the Sam Golden Invitational at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas.Â
The Wave returns to the second annual invitational for the first time since 2021, when it played in the inaugural rounds. The invitational comes with a stacked field which includes the hosting team and fellow American Athletic Conference member University of North Texas, who has won C-USA Championships for the past three years. Other fellow American Conference members include the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Tulsa and UTSA. Tulane will face Power 5 competition in Nebraska, TCU, Missouri, BYU and Texas Tech while newcomer to the C-USA, Kennesaw State University, will round out the field of 12. Â
Familiar faces fill the Tulane lineup with the four of last year's faces making its return to the fairway. Cleo Liu, Matilde Innocenti, Miriam Emmert, Luna Xu and new comer Julia Sánchez Morales will tee off for the Wave.
The tournament begins Monday at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start. Rounds one and two will take place Monday, followed by round three on Tuesday. Live stats can be found here.
