
Beach Volleyball in Top Ranks After Day One of Home Tournament

DAY ONE RESULTS
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane Beach Volleyball kicked off its first home tournament of the season, hosting the University of New Orleans and the University of Southern Mississippi at White Sands. Tulane performed exceptionally, filling the top six ranks and winning 16 of 19 matches.Â
In their win against Southern Mississippi, Gigi Gallegos landed 11 kills, had eight digs, one block, and two aces. Her partner Tara Gaspar had a stunning 18 kills, seven digs, two aces and a block. Also against Southern Mississippi, Lauren Mann logged nine kills, five digs, and three aces. Lily Tucker had eight kills, five digs, and an ace.Â
Against UNO, McKenzie Cutler delivered nine kills, five digs, two aces, and a block, while her partner Mann had 11 kills, six digs, and two aces. Against USM, Amelia Mullins logged seven kills, six digs, and two aces. Mann then scored nine kills and five digs.Â
On Saturday, Nov. 23, a kids clinic will take place at 9 a.m. and play will begin at 10 a.m. Tulane will play in 19 more matchups.

Tulane will host a pairs tournament at White Sands from Nov. 22-23.Â
