Tulane Kicks Off 2004 Spring Tour on the Northshore
March 4, 2004
NEW ORLEANS - Tulane Athletics begins its annual Spring Tour this Monday evening, March 8 on the Northshore as Green Wave head coaches and athletics administrators, including football coach Chris Scelfo and athletics director Rick Dickson, will attend an open reception from 6-8:30 p.m. in Covington. The event, which will be held in the Courtyard at Pamlab, L.L.C. in Covington, is free and is open to all members of the community, with a special invite to all Tulane fans and alumni in that portion of the state.
The Spring Tour is Tulane's annual trek across the state and across the country to deliver the good news about Tulane Athletics and to reach out to fans and supporters with personal interaction. In addition to Scelfo and Dickson, many Green Wave head coaches and athletics administrators will be on hand, including women's basketball coach Lisa Stockton and her staff, and volleyball coach Betsy Becker. WOW Caf?, one of the sponsors of this this year's Northshore stop, will provide the food for Monday's event, which is co-sponsored by Sam and Judy Camp, Pamlab, L.L.C. and KTM Energy. Pamlab, L.L.C. is located at 4099 Highway 190 in Covington.
In addition to speeches by each coach and Dickson, all in attendance will have the opportunity to speak personally with the Green Wave staff and get updates on their favorite Tulane programs. For directions to Monday's event or more information on the Northshore Spring Tour stop, call the Tulane Athletics Fund Office at 504-865-5356. Details on the remaining dates of the expanded 2004 Spring Tour will be available later this month.
