Third Annual Tulane Varsity Ball Set

On Monday, April 28th, the Tulane Athletics Department will celebrate the successes of the 2002-2003 seasons at the Third Annual Varsity Ball. This year-end awards banquet, which is open to the public, will honor the best and brightest of the Green Wave student-athletes and will document their achievements both on and off the field. Awards will be handed out to student-athletes from all 14 Tulane teams and there will be special recognitions of the 2002-03 Green Wave seniors in all sports.
This year's Varsity Ball will be held in the Main Ballroom of the Radisson Hotel New Orleans on Canal Street. The event will begin with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the awards ceremony, featuring the Green Wave head coaches, seniors and outstanding scholar-athletes. Tickets are available for $40 per person or $350 for a table of 10 by calling the Tulane Athletics Ticket Office at 504-861-WAVE, or by stopping by the Ticket Office in the James W. Wilson Center.
A table of 10 can include any combination of guests and student-athletes that you choose. All seating at the event will be first-come, first-served, except those parties buying a table of 10. Fans can also choose to sponsor individual student-athletes at a cost of $40 per athlete.
The Varsity Ball will be hosted by the "Voice of the Green Wave," Sean Kelley, and will feature a prominent guest speaker. Last year's guest speaker was Tulane medical school alum and former National League President Bobby Brown. Senior quarterback Patrick Ramsey, now with the Washington Redskins in the NFL, and junior womens basketball standout Britt Themann were named Tulane University's Scholar-Athletes of the Year at last year's event.
