Tulane Coaches Embark on Spring Tour

NEW ORLEANS -- Tulane head coaches Chris Scelfo (football), Shawn Finney (men's basketball), Lisa Stockton (women's basketball) and Betsy Becker (volleyball) headline a group of Green Wave coaches and administrators who will visit five cities in Louisiana April 24-27 on the annual "Spring Tour".
The coaches, along with Director of Athletics Rick Dickson, members of the staff of the Tulane Athletics Fund (T.A.F.) and other administrators, will make stops in Monroe, Shreveport, Alexandria, Lake Charles and Lafayette with a reception or luncheon scheduled in each city. Every event is open to the public, although reservations are required. A detailed list of the events is included below.
"In October, I was asked to take part in a similar event when Dr. Cowen and our university administrators took a bus tour around the state. I became convinced that it's a great way to connect with Tulane supporters in Louisiana who don't live in New Orleans and the immediate area," Dickson said. "We want to let our fans across the state and region know that they are important to us by bringing them a taste of Green Wave Athletics and updating them on all of our programs. And we hope to attract some new Tulane fans as well."
In addition to these five cities, the T.A.F. will hold events in Baton Rouge, the North Shore, and the Gulf Coast later this year.

Alexandria, Louisiana: Thursday, April 26 - Noon-2 p.m., Luncheon - Bistro on the Bayou (1321 Chappie James Ave., England Airpark), $25 per person
Lake Charles, Louisiana: Thursday, April 26 - 6-8 p.m., Reception - The Home of Margaret & Bobby Boudreau (1414 Bank Street), No charge
Lafayette, Louisiana: Friday, April 27 - 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Luncheon - The Petroleum Club, Executive Dining Room (111 Heymann), $15 per person
