NEW ORLEANS, La. - - Anna Monhartova and Nathan Junius have been named the Tulane University Scholar-Athletes of the Year, the athletic department announced on Tuesday.
The two were chosen in a vote by the Green Wave's 11 head coaches as well as athletic department administrators.
Monhartova, a senior women's tennis player from Plzen, Czech Republic, earned the accolade after a standout senior season. She was named first-team All-Conference USA for the third straight season and has been ranked as high as ninth nationally by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
