Tulane Spring Tour Travels West

NEW ORLEANS - Green Wave head coaches and athletics administrators complete the main portion of the 2004 Tulane Athletics Fund "It's Wave Time" Spring Tour next week as they travel west for gatherings in Lake Charles, Lafayette and Baton Rouge. The Tour will be in Lake Charles Sunday, May 23rd for an evening reception, visits Lafayette on Monday night, May 24th and finishes off the Tour in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, May 25th. This year, ALL Tulane fans and alumni in the area are invited to attend the events and meet Green Wave head coaches Chris Scelfo (football), Shawn Finney (men's basketball), Lisa Stockton (women's basketball), Betsy Becker (volleyball) and Betsy Anderson (women's soccer) along with Tulane Athletics Director Rick Dickson and members of the Tulane Athletics Fund (T.A.F.) staff.
The western swing of the "It's Wave Time" Spring Tour kicks off in Lake Charles at the home of Dr. and Mrs. John Moffett, who will host the Tulane head coaches and staff at a cocktail party in their home beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday.
The tour then travels to Lafayette, where Caf? Vermilionville on Pinhook Road will be the site of a reception from 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, May 24th.
On Tuesday, May 25th, meet and talk with the Green Wave contingent in Baton Rouge at the home of Dr. and Mrs. David Depp on Pikes Lane from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
At each event, each Tulane coach will talk about his or her program and participate in a question and answer session with the audience. Attendees will also hear from Dickson about the overall program, ongoing fundraising efforts and upcoming initiatives and projects. Finally, the coaches, Dickson and staff members will be available for one-on-one conversations and questions.
The "It's Wave Time" Spring Tour travelled to the Northshore and the Gulf Coast in March and visited Monroe, Shreveport, Alexandria and Houma in April. A final New Orleans event has been added on Thursday, June 10th at Bruno's on Maple Street in New Orleans from 5:30-8 p.m. This year's Tour marks the fourth consecutive year that Tulane coaches and staff have visited with fans across the state.
