33 Hours of Tulane Tickets Starts Monday Morning

NEW ORLEANS - The Green Wave Athletics Ticket Office in the James W. Wilson Center will remain open throughout the night on Monday, June 9th to take orders for season tickets and donations to the Tulane Athletics Fund on the final day before the Tulane Board of Administrators meets to determine whether the university will remain in Division I-A or move its program to another level.
The Ticket Office is normally open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. On Monday, the office will open as normal at 8:30 a.m. but will remain open and staffed throughout the night and continue through regular business hours until closing at 5 p.m. Tuesday. All told, the Ticket Office "marathon" will last for nearly 33 straight hours. Tulane Ticket Manager Tim Zenner and members of his staff will take shifts throughout the night to man the phone lines at 504-861-WAVE and 1-866-GIVE2TU while also welcoming any customers who stop by in person early Tuesday morning with complimentary coffee and donuts between 6-9 a.m.
"We're staying open and we're counting on the fans to keep us busy," said Tim Zenner, Tulane Athletics Ticket Manager. "The last couple of days have been incredible with the response we've had and the number of tickets we've sold. We want to keep it going all the way to Tuesday."
Zenner and his staff have already put in many long shifts during the "Think Green" campaign, including manning the Ticket Office until 10 p.m. at night throughout "Green Team Week" on Cox Sports Television.
"Tim and his group in the Ticket Office are just one example of the kind of effort that our staff has put forth over the last five weeks during this campaign," said Rick Dickson, Tulane Director of Athletics. "It's really been amazing to be a part of it. I challenge our fans and anyone who has been on the fence about making a purchase to come forward now. Let's keep this group hopping Monday night."
Tulane football tickets for the six-game 2003-04 home schedule are on sale now and start at just $140 for an adult season ticket and $60 for children ages 2-18. The Ticket Office will take orders for season tickets for baseball, men's and women's basketball, soccer and volleyball as well, and also accepts donations to the Tulane Athletics Fund.
