Conference USA Honors Tulane Student-Athletes

NEW ORLEANS, La. - - More than 100 Tulane student-athletes were named to the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll, including 14 who were awarded the prestigious Commissioner's Academic Medal.
To be named to the C-USA Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average for the academic year. Those student-athletes who achieve at least a 3.75 GPA are further awarded the Commissioner's Academic Medal.
The Green Wave had three student-athletes from both the baseball and women's soccer teams earn C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medals, while women's basketball standout Britt Themann earned the recognition for the third consecutive season.
The Wave's 14 Academic Medal winners include Turner Brumby, Gerald Clark and Richard Fairchild from the baseball team and Sue French, Brook Parker and Alycia Wanat from the women's soccer team. Justin Adendorff and Jeffrey Osborn represent the Tulane men's golf team, while Maiko Cook and Lucy Wood earned the honor from the women's tennis team. The women's cross country and track team's also had a pair of honorees in Moji Alade and Ellen Volmers. In addition to Themann, Joseph Traina was the lone representative from the football team.
