Tulane Promotes Chris Maitre

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour has promoted Chris Maitre, formerly director of game operations, to the position of assistant athletic director for facilities and operations while hiring Russell Dean as assistant athletic director for corporate sales.
Maitre, who began his work at Tulane as an assistant in the Green Wave ticket office, is in his fourth year on the Tulane athletics staff. With his newly expanded role, he will now oversee all Tulane athletic facilities and the management functions of all Green Wave home events.
Dean comes to Tulane from the University of Houston, where he served three years as assistant marketing director. He also worked in marketing at Arizona and Connecticut. Dean is a 1992 UConn graduate.
"Chris is a very important part of our administrative team, and this is a well-deserved promotion for him," said Barbour. "And we're excited about the energy that Russell brings to a role that's crucial to our department."
