A graduate of nearby Shaw High where he was a two-time all-state, all-district and all-metro honoree, Torie Taulli has been not only a pillar of strength along the offensive line but also a picture of stability as the center has now started 26 consecutive games for the Green Wave. From his sophomore season to date, Taulli has hardly missed a snap. Last season, he played in 855 of the team's 897 offensive snaps and did not allow a sack as the Green Wave boasted the No. 3 passing offense and No. 7 total offense in the nation. Off the field, Taulli has spoken on numerous occasions at local schools about the importance of education, and has participated in Tulane's "Shadow A Student Athlete" day.
