Tulane T-Club to Host Golf Tournament, Hall of Fame Reception

NEW ORLEANS - In conjunction with Homecoming festivities on the Tulane University campus, the Tulane University T Club will host a golf tournament and a Hall of Fame reception on Friday, October 12th.
The Annual T Club Golf Classic will be played at Timberlane Country Club in Gretna, La. Registration for the scramble-format event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Food, beverages, prizes and a great goody bag are part of the registration fee. Proceeds from the golf tournament will benefit Tulane Athletics.
At 7 p.m. that evening, the T-Club will hold a reception to honor the 2001 T-Club Hall of Fame inductees and the 2000-01 Male and Female Athletes of the Year. The reception will be held at the Ponchartrain Hotel, 2031 St. Charles Ave. Cost to attend the event, where Hall of Fame inductees and/or their families, as well as the Athletes of the Year, will be introduced and honored, is $25 per person.
The Hall of Fame inductees are individuals who not only were outstanding student-athletes at Tulane, but who also possess characteristics such as sportsmanship, character and integrity. Each inductee has brought great distinction to Tulane University.
The Male and Female Athlete of the Year awards are selected from a list of student-athletes nominated by the coaches of all varsity sports at Tulane.
