TULANE TO EXPAND FLAGSHIP RADIO NETWORK
Tulane University Athletics and Tulane Sports Properties announced over the offseason the expansion of Green Wave football radio network coverage, as the department will move its flagship station to iHeartMedia’s KVDU 104.1 FM The Spot.
TULANE KICKOFF
The scene is set with the Bryan Subaru Tailgate Show and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Pregame Show, which is led by the “Voice of the Green Wave” Andrew Allegretta and Gus Kattengell. Pregame analysis includes the keys to the game from Tulane hall of famer Steve Barrios and an exclusive interview with head coach Willie Fritz. Coverage begins 60 minutes before kickoff.
THE GAME BROADCAST
Keep your radio tuned to the Tulane IMG Sports Network to catch the exciting and colorful play-by-play description from Andrew Allegretta with color commentary from Green Wave Hall of Famer Steve Barrios. Barrios is in his 38th season behind the mic. Gus Kattengell begins his ninth season of patrolling the sideline and will give us an insider’s view of what is happening on the turf. There are also up-to-date statistics, special halftime guests and current scores from around the league and other games of special interest during the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans Halftime Show.
GREEN WAVE POST-GAME SHOW
The Capital One Postgame show begins with the “Kentwood Springs Water Coaches Interview” with Coach Fritz, as well as with players and coaches and postgame stats. Throughout the game, the broadcast team will take a look around the American Athletic Conference, as well as games from around the nation, with updated scores. It’s the perfect show for fans at their home, from Yulman Stadium, or those tuning in around the region.
THE WILLIE FRITZ RADIO SHOW
Tulane will showcase the Willie Fritz Coaches’ show on the department’s official podcast – The Current throughout the fall.
