Samantha Larsen joined the Tulane University Strategic Communications staff in the fall of 2021. In her current capacity, Larsen serves as the Green Wave’s primary strategic communications contact for baseball, Indoor volleyball and swimming and diving.
Larsen arrived in Uptown after she spent the past year serving as an on-location statistician/production assistant for Friday Night Football Segment for WGNO.
While in undergrad , Larsen worked as an intern within Radio booth at Alex Box Stadium. During her tenure, she facilitate statistical information for announcing staff Chris Blair, “The Voice of the Tigers” and Doug Thompson, Color Analyst for the LSU Sports Broadcasting Network while live on-air. She researched information for announcing staff to keep fans updated on other games taking place around the country. Larsen also spent one season in Triple-A ball with the New Orleans Baby Cakes. She, ran trackman program during game, handled all player community relations projects, and facilitated pre-game ceremonies such as first pitch, soldier salutes, check presentations and performances.
Larsen also lent her voice to ITalkSEC Radio as a guest comintator on their unscripted live radio show discussing games, stats, players, and recruitment involving SEC sports.
Larsen earned her Bachelor of Science: Sports Administration with a concentration in Sports Commerce with Minors in Mass Communications with a concentration in Broadcast Journalism and General Business from LSU in 2020.
