Career Notes: Four-year letterman had 58 tackles (43 solo, 15 assists), 2.0 tackles for loss, four pass break-ups and one forced fumble during his career...played in 32 games with three start...suffered a career-ending spinal injury in the second game of his senior campaign.
2012: Started both games he appeared in at strong safety as a senior...posted 11 tackles (9 solo, 2 assists) with a tackle for loss before suffering a career-ending spinal injury at Tulsa (9/8)...recorded a career-high nine stops (7 solo, 2 assists) and a tackle for loss vs Rutgers (9/1)...had a pair of stops at Tulsa...earned the inaugural Devon Walker Most Inspirational Award from the New Orleans Fellowship Foundation and the Brandon Burlsworth Courage Award while earning a spot on the Burlsworth Trophy watchlist as a former walk-on to provide solid contributions to his team.
2011: Played in nine games as a junior...finished tied for 11th on the team in pass break-ups (1) while tallying nine solo tackles...recorded a season-best five tackles in the season opener vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/3)...had two tackles and a pass break-up vs UTEP (10/15)...recorded single-tackle performances vs Memphis (10/22) and at Hawai[apos]i (11/26).
2010: Saw action in all 12 games as a sophomore...ranked 11th on the team with 23 tackles (15 solo, 8 assists) with one forced fumble and a pass break-up...had a season-best seven stops (4 solo, 3 assists) to go with a pass break-up vs UCF (11/20)...tallied four tackles (3 solo, 1 assist) and a forced fumble vs Southeastern Louisiana (9/2)...added four tackles (1 solo, 3 assists) at Tulsa (10/16).
2009: Walk-on who played in nine games as a true freshman, including a start at free safety at SMU (11/28)...used primarily on special teams early in the year but worked his way into the defensive backfield where he tallied 15 tackles (10 solo, 5 assists) over the final four games of the season...posted a season-high seven tackles (5 solo, 2 assists) and a pair of pass break-ups at SMU...recorded six tackles (4 solo, 2 assists) at UCF (11/21).
High School: Three-year letterman at Destrehan High School where he was a safety for head coach Stephen Robicheaux...named All-District (5A) while guiding the Wildcats to two state championships...helped Wildcats go a combined 29-0 during final two prep campaigns...off the field, was an honors student and a member of the Culture Club.
