Ranks No. 8 in the nation in doubles (with Michael Kogan). Has a career record of 69-47 in singles and 76-37 in doubles for an all-time mark of 145-84 (.633). A four-year letterwinner who plays right-handed with a two-handed backhand. Possesses an awesome forehand a very good backhand return, as well as a big first serve. Could gain a national ranking this spring.

Spring 2001: Owns a 14-5 singles record at No. 2 and 3. Has an impressive 19-1 doubles record at No. 1 (17-1 with Michael Kogan and 2-0 with Goran Vasiljevic). Posted a 4-0 record (singles & doubles) in Conference USA tournament, inclunding winning the Championship clinching match in singles.

Fall 2000: Posted a 7-5 record in singles action, including two wins at the National Clay Court Championships and the ITA Region III Championships. Teamed with Michael Kogan to form a formidable doubles tandem, which went 8-3. The pair won the Tennessee Fall Classic as well as advancing to the semifinals of the National Clay Court Championship with four wins.

Spring 2000: Posted a 12-10 record playing mainly at No. 2 singles. Also saw action at No. 3, 4, 5, and 6. Paired with Mattias Westerberg and Dennis Lundberg for a 12-13 record in doubles action (No. 1 and No. 2).

Fall 1999: Turned in a 3-5 mark for singles play and teamed with Dennis Lundberg for a 5-2 mark in doubles, winning the Bill Watson Ford Tennis Invitational[apos]s 'A' Flight in doubles.

Spring 1999: Was 15-8 in singles action, seeing most of his action at the No. 5 spot. Was 12-4 at No. 5 singles, 1-1 at No. 4 and 3-3 at No. 6. Posted a combined 17-6 record in doubles play. Was 16-6 with partner Dennis Lundberg and 1-0 with teammate Blake Baratz.

Fall 1998: Posted a 9-4 record in singles play. Won the singles consolation title at the USL BellSouth Mobility Classic. Also won the consolation title of the Tulane Invitational. Was 4-4 in doubles action, reaching the doubles finals of the Tulane Invitational.

Spring 1998: Posted a 9-10 record in singles play. Started the dual match season with seven wins in his first 10 matches. Was 11-8 in doubles play, turning in a 7-5 record with Pekka Rinne and a 4-4 mark with Chip Kelly.

Prep: Earned a No. 11 national men[apos]s ranking in his native Finland. Ranked No. 73 in Finland as a prep at Simonkylan Lukio and finished third in doubles in the Finnish national championships in 1997. Was the Finnish high school champion and a finalist in the Finnish under-20 championships in 1996. Also played ice hockey as a prep athlete.

Personal: An honor student at the Freeman School of Business. Expects to graduate in December of 2001.
