Tyler Tunnell joined Tulane Athletics as a graduate assistant athletic trainer in January of 2017. His primary responsibilities involve assisting with student-athletes on the women's swimming & diving and cheerleading teams.
Tunnell came to New Orleans after graduating from Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training. At Kansas State, Tunnell worked with men's and women's basketball, track & field, volleyball and a high school. He also had a rotation at a chiropractic clinic.
An Ijamsville, Md., native, Tunnell is a certified member of National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and is certified to provide CPR/First Aid/AED use by the American Red Cross.
