Green Wave Grille
Tulane University and Sodexo announced a new dining facility called the Green Wave Grille on Aug. 24, 2018, designed to equip college athletes with the proper nutrition. This new dining room, located on the first floor of Yulman Stadium, is available to the entire Tulane University community.
The 14,811 square foot dining facility is managed by Tulane Dining Services at Yulman Stadium. The facility includes a full kitchen, dining areas and prep space. The program includes new menus featuring protein carving stations, fueling stations, cook-to-order specialty dish stations as well as travel meals. Dietitians and the Tulane strength and conditioning coaches have collaborated to provide high quality ingredients and healthy options for every meal.
"We are thrilled to expand our relationship with Sodexo to include the Green Wave Grille in Yulman Stadium. The ability to have a dedicated dining facility for our student-athletes allows us to improve our student-athlete experience while providing optimal service to their nutritional needs. This is a big step forward for Green Wave athletics and our 350 student-athletes," said Troy Dannen, Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair.
"Opening the Green Wave Grille allows Sodexo to offer the students of Tulane one more location to dine on campus," said Ron Guillory, vice president of operations for Sodexo.
"The philosophy of the Green Wave Grille is to meet the nutritional needs of Tulane's students with tailored menus offered in a unique space where staff, coaches, and faculty can dine together to celebrate the culture of Tulane Athletics," said Christopher Maitre, senior associate athletics director for business & operations.
Tulane Dining Services provides an average of 1.4 million meals per year for 13,500 students. Sodexo employs more than 300 staff members at Tulane University who focus on optimizing each student's physical, social and academic environment to create the best possible experience.
