CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Tulane Women's golf team finished the 2000 Franklin Street/Tarheel Invitational in 13th place with a three-round team total of 960 on Sunday. Tulane's Kathy Schafer finished in a tie for 11th and shot a 75 on the day and a tournament total of 228.
Winning the tournament was defending champion Duke with an 894 total through three rounds. The Tennessee Lady Vols were the runners up shooting a 913, and Georgia rounded out the top-three shooting a 922.
Tulane's Mary Jan Fernandez and Pam Buff finished in a tie for 44th and 60th respectively. Fernadez's total on the weekend was a 241. Buff had a seven-over-par performance on Sunday and shot 244 on the weekend.
Up next for the Wave golf team is the Furman Lady Paladin Invitational on October, 20-22.
