BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Tulane, playing its second dual match in two days, edged UAB, 5-4, this afternoon. Tulane is now 3-0 in Conference USA play and 7-3 overall.
Singles play was led by No.3 Julie Morris, No. 4 Jessica Kessler, and No. 5 Anneli Axsater. With all three winning their matches in straight sets.
Olga Monhartova and Kessler teamed in doubles to defeat KB Mogonediwa and Michelle North, 8-3. Maiko Cook and Axsater took the No. 3 doubles competition, 8-2 over Esther Obergfoll and Sjouke Liem.
UAB falls to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in Conference play.
