DALLAS (AP) - Patrick Ramsey passed for 347 yards and three touchdowns as Tulane beat Southern Methodist 29-17 on Saturday night to snap a seven-game losing streak.
Ramsey, who was 34-of-50, threw a pair of scoring passes to Adrian Burnette and connected with eight receivers.
SMU (1-3) dropped its third consecutive game, and first at new Gerald J. Ford Stadium.
Tulane (1-2) scored on its first four possessions, with Ramsey completing 10 of his first 13 passes.
Ramsey threw a 5-yard scoring pass to Burnette and a 4-yarder to Roydell Williams to give the Green Wave a 16-7 lead.
Tulane's Seth Marler made three first-half field goals, including a 37-yarder at the end of the half. Tulane racked up 277 total yards in the first half, including 207 in the air.
SMU's lone touchdown in the first 30 minutes came on Johnnie Freeman's 63-yard touchdown run midway through the first quarter. Freeman led the Mustangs with 102 yards rushing.
