NEW ORLEANS, La. - The Tulane women's golf team is currently in third place in the Green Wave Women's Golf Classic with a score of 629 through two rounds.
The University of Tennessee is the leader of the pack at the Lakewood Country Club with a two-round total of 616. Vanderbilt follows with a team total of 624.
Tennessee's Erin Simmons (76-74=150) is the player to beat with a four-over-par performance on the day.
Kathy Schafer leads the Green Wave with a two round total of 152. She is tied for fourth place. Schafer finished six-over-par in the 36 holes played on Monday. The next best Tulane finisher is Marcela Gonzalez who is currently in a tie for 22. She shot 159 through 36 holes. Rounding out the Tulane top three is Carolin Landmann who shot 160 on the day.
Tuesday, March 6 marks the final day of the Green Wave Women's Golf Classic. The shotgun start is at 8:00 a.m. and the teams will play 18 holes.
