BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Tulane women's golf team is in eighth place after one round of play in the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic with a team total of 316.
Auburn is the team leader with a score of 293. Host school LSU follows with a 295, while Mississippi State rounds out the top-3 with a 301.
Celeste Troche (Auburn) and Lina Thoren (Miss. State) share the lead each posting a one under par performance, 71.
Leading Tulane is freshman Mary Jan Fernandez who recorded a one round total of 76, four over par. Bonnie Hanlin follows in 28th with a 79. Carolin Landman is currently in 34th with a score of 80, after the first day of play.
The second round will be played on Saturday, April 7, 2000.
