
Losman Leads Green Wave Past Cincinnati

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - J.P. Losman threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as Tulane beat Cincinnati 35-17 Saturday.
Losman threw both his touchdowns during a 26-point second quarter, Tulane's highest scoring quarter since 1998. Losman completed 14 of 23 passes for 163 yards.
Tulane (4-3, 2-2 Conference USA) forced four turnovers and had six sacks, three by Kenan Blackmon. Cincinnati (2-4, 1-1) had 435 total yards to 255 for Tulane.
Mewelde Moore rushed for 93 yards on 25 carries for Tulane. Damarcus Davis caught four passes for 29 yards, including a 13-yard TD pass from Losman in the second.
Gino Guidugli completed 20 of 33 passes for 245 yards and two touchdowns for Cincinnati. LaDaris Vann caught 11 passes for 112 yards, including a 12-yard TD pass from Guidugli with 12:45 remaining in the game.
Cincinnati took a 7-3 lead on Guidugli's 12-yard TD pass to George Murray late in the first quarter.
Seth Marler hit three field goals, of 50, 46 and 47 yards, and put Tulane up 9-7. Sean Lucas intercepted pass from Guidugli and returned it 42 yards for a touchdown to give Tulane a 16-7 lead.
The Green Wave scored on an 18-yard touchdown pass from Losman to Tristan Smith with 56 seconds left in the half. Tulane recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and Losman threw a 13-yard TD pass to Davis one play later, giving the Green Wave a 29-10 halftime lead.
Losman had a 1-yard TD run in the third quarter.
