HONOLULU, Hawaii - As the Green Wave prepares for the 2002 ConAgra Foods Hawaii Bowl, TulaneGreenWave.com reveals a new, week-long series to provide Tulane fans with the players' perspective as the game approaches. Each day, members of the team will answer a question regarding the day's events. As the team arrived on the island of Oahu at 6 a.m. HST, the first question Green Wave players tackled was:
Besides the game, what are you most looking forward to about the trip to Hawaii?
I'm looking forward to the whole experience. I've never been here before and neither have most of my teammates. We're looking to have fun, but at the same time, we all know why we're here. --Lynaris Elpheage
I'm looking forward to experience the cultures, the beaches and the women. After talking to Coach O and Coach T (strength coaches and native Hawaiians Gavin Osaki and Curtis Tsuruda, respectively), they were saying how things are so different. I'm really looking forward to everything. It's going to be interesting.--Blake Baker
I'm looking forward to the beaches and socializing with all the women we're going to meet while we're here.--Trawick Boger
I'm most looking forward to relaxing on the beach. I might try and go deep-sea fishing if I we have enough time.--Seth Marler
I'm just forward experiencing Hawaii itself. It's supposed to be beautiful - the terrain and all that. It's like a dream vacation. It's going to be fun to be here, but we just have to stay focused and realize that we're here to win a football game.--Seth Zaunbrecher
I just want to relax with my teammates and have a good time. We don't want to take too much time away from the game. That's the key for being here, but we want to have fun at the same time.--Tristian Smith
Just the experience of coming to the island, seeing the mountains and experiencing a different culture. So far, it's gorgeous out here and I'm looking forward to having a great trip.--Stephen Hedemann
