NEW ORLEANS, La. - With two games already slated for broadcast on ESPN in 2003, Tulane road games at Army on September 20th and at Southern Miss on November 15th have been picked up by ESPN Plus as part of its syndicated package, Conference USA announced Friday in sending out its 2003 Television Schedule. In New Orleans, Cox Sports Television (cable Ch. 37) will air the two Green Wave away contests.
Tulane now has four guaranteed broadcast dates this season as ESPN will air both the season opener versus TCU on Labor Day night, Sept. 1, and a Friday night contest at Louisville on October 17th.
"Exposure like this is so valuable for our program and for Tulane University," said Tulane Head Coach Chris Scelfo. "I'm happy for our fans, who will be able to see at least three of our away games on television this year, and for our players, who work hard and deserve this kind of recognition."
Tulane players report for preseason practices August 6th with the first practice slated for the following day. Tickets for the 2003 football season are available with prices beginning at just $140 by calling 504-861-WAVE, and can be ordered online.
