Feb 26, 2026 | Football
NEW ORLEANS — In conjunction with the American Conference's 2026 football schedule release, Tulane unveiled its 2026 fall slate on Thursday afternoon. Â
Â
The defending American champion Green Wave will kick off its season on Saturday, September 5, with a game at defending ACC champion Duke. It will be a rematch of last season's 34-27 Tulane victory at Yulman Stadium in Uptown. Â
Â
The season's home opener will be against South Alabama on September 12, a rematch of last season's thrilling 33-31 Tulane victory in Mobile, where the Jaguars pushed the Green Wave to its limit. Â
Â
The team then travels to Kansas State on September 19, nearly four years to the day of its 17-10 win in Manhattan during the 2022 campaign. Â
Â
Tulane wraps its non-conference schedule at home against Southern Miss on September 26, which will serve as the program's Hall of Fame game. This will be the Battle for the Bell's first matchup since 2023, when Tulane secured a 21-3 win in Hattiesburg. Â
Â
Following an open date, the Green Wave heads to Army on October 10. Last season, Tulane claimed a hard-fought 24-17 victory in Yulman Stadium.Â
Â
On October 16, Tulane will host Memphis on a Friday night. The Wave scored five first-half touchdowns in Memphis last year, earning a 38-32 win. Â
Â
Eight days later, Tulane hosts UTSA on October 24. The Roadrunners had the upper hand last season with a 48-26 win on Thursday night in San Antonio.
Â
Tulane concludes October at Charlotte on Friday, October 30. The Green Wave blanked the 49ers 27-0 on Thanksgiving weekend in 2025.Â
Â
November features a series of key conference matchups, starting with Tulsa for the November 7 Homecoming date. Last year, Tulane defeated the Golden Hurricane 31-24 on the road. Â
Â
Next, the Green Wave travels to Rice on November 14. The teams last met in 2024, when Tulane secured a 24-10 victory in Uptown.Â
Â
On November 21, North Texas visits Yulman, a rematch of the 2025 American Championship game, which Tulane won 34-21 to claim its second league crown in four years. Â
Â
The regular season concludes on the road at South Florida on either Friday, November 27 or Saturday, November 28. Tulane has won its last four meetings in the series, scoring over 40 points in each matchup. Â
Â
The American Championship Game is scheduled for Saturday, December 5. Tulane has made a league-record four consecutive appearances in the conference's title contest.
Â
Start times for all games will be announced at a later date. Â
