DALLAS - Saturday's Tulane-SMU football game, moved up to a 1 p.m. kickoff to avoid the winds and rains of Hurricane Rita, will be heard on an eight-station network throughout Louisiana beginning with the pregame show at 12:30 p.m. (Central). Larry Matson and Todd Graffagnini will call the action from SMU's Gerald Ford Stadium.
The game, Tulane's second of the 2005 football season, will be broadcast by WJSH-FM 104.7 in Hammond and on the North Shore, the closest outlet to New Orleans. Tulane flagship station WTIX-AM 690 has not yet returned to the air.
Five of these stations - in Hammond, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Lake Charles and Shreveport - will also carry the Tulane Coaches' Call-In Show, which kicks off its 2005 season Monday, Sept. 26 at 7:05 p.m. from Ponchatoula's Restaurant, located on 109 Park Avenue in Ruston. Sean Fox of station KNBB-FM (ESPN Radio 99.3) in Ruston will host the show and will be joined by Head Coach Chris Scelfo, as well as other Tulane guests. In Ruston, the Tulane Coaches' Call-In Show will be heard on KNBB-FM 99.3.
