Junior Antonio Harris extended his streak of consecutive starts to 28 straight tonight against UTEP. Harris has started every game of his career.
Sophomore Michael Parenton saw his string on consecutive starts snapped tonight at 16. Coming into tonight's game, Parenton had started in every game of his career.
Junior Aryan Barto started his first collegiate start at center tonight. Previously, Barto had started every game this season at left guard.
Freshman Nick Landry made the first start of his collegiate career tonight at left guard.
Julian Shives-Sams made the first start of his career tonight on the defensive line.
Junior Matt Forte's 45-yard rush on his second carry of the third quarter moved him past former Green Wave standout Terrance Jones (1985-88) and into 10th place on the school's career rushing chart. For his career, Forte now has 1,831 yards on 406 career attempts (4.5)
Forte finished the night with 141 yards on 16 carries (8.8) and one touchdown for his third 100-yard game of the year.
Freshman Ross Thevenot was a perfect 2-of-2 on field goal attempts. Thevenot connected on his career first field goal against Rice.
Quarterback Lester Ricard rushed for a season-high 35 yards on five carries (7.0).
Preston Brown broke his career single game mark for receptions with 11.
Lester Ricard attempted a season-high 49 passes.
