New Orleans - The Tulane Athletic Department will host its annual Fall Fan Day Sunday, August 27 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Westfeldt Facility behind the James W. Wilson Center. The event is free and open to the public. Parking is available in the Diboll Parking Garage and along Ben Weiner Drive.
Fans will have the opportunity to catch an early glimpse of the 2006 TU football team as the Green Wave practices during the evening, and the players and coaches will join the women's volleyball and cross country teams for the festivities at the conclusion of practice.
Student-athletes and coaches from all three sports will sign autographs and meet fans during Fan Day, and free football posters and schedule cards will be distributed. The Tulane cheerleaders will lead fans in the "Hullabaloo," while kids will have the opportunity to interact with their favorite Tulane student-athletes.
Fan Day is a great time to get the latest Green Wave gear, to renew or order season tickets, or to purchase individual game tickets for any of Tulane's five 2006 football home games. The Green Wave Ticket Office and Gift Shop in the Wilson Center will be open throughout the evening.
Tulane opens its 2006 home football schedule on Saturday, Sept. 30 in the Louisiana Superdome against SMU with kickoff set for 8 p.m. The contest will be aired live on College Sports Television.
