Tulane Wins PACnet’s Innovation of the Year
Feb 26, 2026 | General
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – The Tulane Athletics External and Equipment Operations staffs received the Innovation of the Year honors at PACnet's annual summit, held Tuesday evening at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa.
Â
PACnet, Paciolan's annual community conference, brings together hundreds of live entertainment clients to share ideas, uncovers best practices, and unlocks opportunities.
Â
Tuesday's recognition came during the convention's 20th Star Awards ceremony, an event that celebrates incredible achievement across all clients' markets.
Â
"At Tulane, innovation is at the heart of everything we do, both on and off the field," said Ben Weiner Director of Athletics Chair David Harris. "This recognition from PACnet underscores our commitment to creating new opportunities for our student-athletes and community. We're proud to lead with creativity and to continue building a future where Green Wave athletics thrive through ingenuity and teamwork."
Â
In the fall, the department leveraged momentum around its limited‑edition City Edition uniforms by selling helmets and jerseys through eVenue and the Wave Warehouse store. The campaign sold out its inventory within a month and moved 249 items between October 21 and December 31. Altogether, Wave Warehouse sales generated $261,000 for the Green Wave Talent Fund to support NIL opportunities.
Â
Tulane bested entries from Texas A&M, North Texas, Texas Performing Arts and Coastal Carolina in its pursuit of the award.
Â
"This recognition is truly a reflection of the incredible teamwork across our entire athletic department, along with our great partners at Paciolan," said Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development, Justin Berger. "So many people contributed their creativity, energy, and effort to bring the City Edition uniform project to life, and the response from the Green Wave Family was overwhelming. We appreciate this acknowledgment of that collective work and are honored to be recognized amongst such strong peers."
Â
