What was your first impression of Coach Horton?
I found out he doesn't put up with much and knows how to put you in your place, but he does it in a way that makes you laugh about it. He's easy to get along and joke with.
What's your best golf memory?
Signing to North Carolina State as a senior in high school or playing in Pebble Beach at a professional tournament.
Favorite course you've played on?
Torrey Pines in San Diego, California.
Have you met any professional golfers?
Arnold Palmer and a number of older golfers.
How old were you when you started playing golf?
12
What inspired you to start playing?
I played every sport when I was younger, but my dad always pushed me to play golf. I never enjoyed it, but then one day I picked up a club that my dad bought me when I was younger and decided to start playing.
What drives you to compete?
The fact that as much as you practice, you can still perfect your game. Knowing someone is better when you want to be the best drives me to work harder.
Do you have superstitions?
I have to have four quarters in my right pocket when I play. Also, I'm really particular about the order of my clubs in my bag.
Who is your favorite athlete?
Nancy Lopez
Favorite television Show/Movie?
I don't have a television, so I don't watch much, but my favorite movie is The Notebook, just about every girl's favorite.
Favorite restaurant in New Orleans?
I don't eat out too much, because I have a lot of food allergies, but I've tried out Leonardos and Superior Grill and enjoyed them.
What has been your most fun experience in New Orleans?
I've really enjoyed the culture. Anything you want in New Orleans, you can find.
What are your future ambitions?
I want to give professional golf a shot.
