I chose Tulane because...
I have family that lives in New Orleans and I wanted to live in a new area and see what else was out there besides California.
The best part about playing volleyball at Tulane is...
My teammates, each and every one of them, they are like sisters and they get me through the hard days.
My goal(s) for this season is...
To lead this team to the NCAA tournament and make my final volleyball season a memorable one.
Do you have any pregame rituals/superstitions?
I tend to eat the same things on game days: either a bagel for breakfast or a turkey sandwich for lunch. Then when I'm getting ready I put my left sock, kneepad, and shoe on followed by the right of each. I wear a bow every time I step on the court and lastly in my volleyball jacket i have a pack of gum and chapstick. Oh, and Lena helps me stretch and cracks my back before every match.
When you're not playing volleyball, what do you like to do for fun?
Playing sand volleyball, sleeping, shopping or spending time with my family and friends

like to read and am an undercover nerd. I get really excited about shopping for new school supplies and love curling up to read a good book.
If you were a superhero, what would your superhero name be?
I already am a superhero, and my name is NIKKI.
What is your favorite food? Favorite Game Day Meal?
I love Mexican and Thai food. My favorite game day meal is when we get sandwiches on the road because we get a COOKIE.
Who was your idol growing up?
I'm pretty sure the Spice Girls were at the top of my list.
Do you have any phobias?
Lizards, spiders, and bugs and seeing that New Orleans has an unbelievable amount of all of those, I'm pretty much scared of walking outside.
What is your hidden talent?
I'm awesome at baking, but i don't know if that's much of a secret.
What is your favorite animal?
A lion, because they are the king of the jungle.
Why did the chicken cross the road?
I was always told that he was trying to get to the other side.
What is your favorite thing about New Orleans?
The people. Everyone is so friendly, while walking down the street people you don't even know greet you and it was shocking at first, because it's not like that in California, but now I love saying hi to everyone.
If you were going to be stranded on an island and could have 3 things with you, what 3 items would you take with you?
Cell phone to get off the island, and a towel and sun tan lotion, so i could tan while I waited.
What is the one store you have to go in at the mall every time you are there?
Sephora or the pet store

Why would i tell the world? It's obviously a secret.

I'm not, but being short is nice because a lot of people offer to help you when you are carrying things
If you could have any job post-graduation, what would it be?
Without training? or the extra schooling? I'd love to be a doctor or a surgeon
What's your favorite volleyball memory?
Winning the state championship in high school my senior year, we were not expected to even make it to the finals so to be the underdog and win was unbelievable. Also winning the state championship at Orange County College two years ago, we had gotten fourth the year before so to finish on top the next year was great, and was an incredible way to leave the school.
What and Where was your first job?
Coaching (younger) girls in volleyball back home in California.

It's a tie between my bed and pi's

Somewhere where that I can get a tan and play some beach volleyball
