
Athletics Continues Prep for Tropical Storm Isaac

NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane University Department of Athletics continues to make preparations with its student-athletes, coaches and staff members ahead of the impending weather threat from Tropical Storm Isaac.
Tulane University announced today that all classes after 5 p.m. have been cancelled and the University will be closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Tulane football team will depart New Orleans this afternoon for Birmingham, Ala., where the Green Wave will continue its preparations for the 2012 season opener. The practice site for Tulane is still being finalized.
The Green Wave's volleyball and cross country teams will remain on campus and will be included in Tulane University's shelter in place.
Each of Tulane's remaining sport programs will follow their personal university evacuation plan.
Tulane Athletics announced the cancelation of Wednesday's Fan Day events, as well as the Curtis Johnson Radio Show and Tuesday's weekly press luncheon.
